Comments, @mentions and activity

Discuss work on the task itself, loop people in with @mentions, and see the full history.

Comments at the bottom of the task panel
Comments and activity live at the bottom of every task.

Comment on a task

  1. 1Open the task.
  2. 2Type in Add a comment or @mention a teammate… at the bottom.
  3. 3Click Send or press Ctrl Enter (⌘ Enter).

@mention someone

Type @ in a comment or description, then a few letters of their name or email, and pick them with the arrow keys and Enter (or click). They get a notification in their Inbox, by email, and as a Slack DM if Slack is connected.

  • You can only mention people who can see the task (important for private projects).
  • Mentions in a description notify only people newly mentioned in that edit.
  • A mention appears as a highlighted pill; one backspace removes it.

Activity

Switch between Comments and All activity under the task. All activity records every change: created, renamed, owner, due date, priority and stage changes, completed or reopened, subtasks, attachments, field changes and linked pull requests. Use Oldest / Newest to change the order.
