Slack
Post project updates to Slack channels, get DMs for mentions, and create tasks with /jinkoup.
Connect your Slack workspace (admins)
- 1Open Settings and find the Slack card under Integrations.
- 2Click Connect Slack and approve JinkoUp in Slack.
- 3You'll see “Slack is connected”. The card now shows the Slack workspace's name.
One Slack workspace connects to one JinkoUp workspace. Admins can Disconnect at any time; projects then stop posting and /jinkoup stops working.
Post a project's updates to a channel
- 1Open the project and click the Slack button in its header.
- 2Search for a channel and pick it. JinkoUp posts a hello message there.
- 3To stop, choose Stop posting to Slack.
For a private channel, first add the JinkoUp app to that channel in Slack. Only the project owner or an admin can change the channel.
What gets posted
- Posted: tasks created, completed or reopened, assigned, moved between stages, due date changes, new comments and attachments.
- Not posted: renames, description edits, priority and custom field changes.
- Each message has ✓ Mark complete and Open in JinkoUp buttons.
Personal DMs
When someone @mentions you or assigns you a task, JinkoUp's Slack app sends you a direct message, as long as your Slack email matches your JinkoUp email.
Create tasks from Slack
- Type
/jinkoup Fix the login bug. A New JinkoUp task form opens: choose the project (or My Work), an assignee and a due date, add a description, then Create task. - On any message, open ⋯ → Create JinkoUp task to turn it into a task with a link back to the message.
- Use the New JinkoUp task shortcut from Slack's shortcuts menu.
/jinkoup helpshows these options in Slack.
Slack users are matched to JinkoUp members by email. If your emails differ, Slack will say it couldn't find your JinkoUp account: ask an admin to invite your Slack email.
