Storage and file limits

How much file storage each plan includes, how to see what your workspace uses, and what to do when it's full.

Files attached to tasks count towards your workspace's file storage. Every file in every project adds up, whoever uploaded it.

Limits

  • Each file can be up to 25 MB.
  • Each workspace has a total storage allowance that depends on its plan: 20 GB on Starter, 50 GB on Team, 200 GB on Business and 500 GB on Scale. The pricing page shows the current figures.
  • During the free trial, or without a plan, a workspace gets 2 GB. Choosing a plan raises it straight away.

See how much you use

Open Settings → Plan & billing. Under Current plan, File storage shows how much is used out of your allowance, for example “12.4 GB of 50 GB used”.

When storage is full

Uploads that would go over the allowance are stopped with a message such as “Your workspace has used 49.8 GB of 50 GB. Delete old files or upgrade.” Files you already have are never removed, and everything else keeps working.

  • Delete files you no longer need: open the task, hover the file and remove it. The space is freed at once.
  • Move to a bigger plan: admins can upgrade under Settings → Plan & billing.

Deleting a task or project also deletes its files and frees their space.
