Notebook: your team's wiki
Write pages for specs, meeting notes and how-tos, nest them, embed live task lists and turn any line into a task.
The Notebook (in the sidebar) holds your workspace's pages. Everyone in the workspace can read and edit every page.
Create and organize pages
- Click + next to Notebook for a new top-level page, or + on a page in the list for a sub-page.
- Drag a page in the list to move it: drop it on the top or bottom edge of another page to put it before or after, or in the middle to put it inside.
- Or use a page's ⋯ menu: Move up, Move down, Move into page above and Move out one level.
- Double-click a page in the list (or use ⋯ → Rename) to rename it. Click its icon to pick an emoji.
- Type in Search pages to filter the list by title.
The Notebook's home shows the pages edited most recently, with who edited them.
Write
Pages save automatically a moment after you stop typing. The top right shows Saving… and then Saved; below the title you see who edited the page last and when.
- Headings, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, links and inline code from the toolbar.
- Bulleted, numbered and checklist items, quotes, code blocks and dividers.
- Type @ to mention someone in the workspace.
- Ask AI (when available) writes, rewrites or summarises the page.
Embed live tasks
Use Insert in the toolbar:
- Task list shows a project's tasks (or your My Work). Choose Open tasks only, Assigned to me or a single Stage. The list stays up to date, and you can tick tasks done right on the page.
- Single task shows one task's title, stage, owner and due date.
Click any embedded task to open it. Each person only sees tasks they have access to: a task in a private project you're not in shows as unavailable.
Turn a line into a task
- 1Select some text (or just put the cursor on a line).
- 2Click Create task, in the menu above the selection or in the toolbar.
- 3Check the name, choose a project or My Work, and click Create task.
The text becomes a live link to the new task, and the task's description links back to the page.
Archive and delete
Archive a page from its ⋯ menu or the button at the top of the page. Its sub-pages go with it. Archived pages are listed under Archive at the bottom of the page list, where you can restore them or delete them permanently.
Deleting a page from the archive removes it, its sub-pages and their diagrams for good. Tasks created from the page are kept.
