Google Drive
Add Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and Drive files or folders to tasks and preview them live.
Put the documents a task needs right inside it. Google Drive files show a live preview in the task, so nobody has to hunt for the right doc.
Add a Drive file to a task
- 1In Google Drive, Docs, Sheets or Slides, click Share → Copy link.
- 2Open the task in JinkoUp. Under Linked files, click + and paste the link.
- 3Click Add. The preview opens below the file.
If your workspace has it turned on, you can also click Choose from Drive to pick one or more files from your Drive (including shared drives) without copying links.
What you can add
| Link | Shows as |
|---|---|
| Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings | A live, read-only preview |
| Google Forms | The form itself, ready to fill in |
| Drive files (PDFs, images, videos, Office files…) | Google's file preview |
| Drive folders | A list of the folder's files |
Working with files
- Click a file's name to show or hide its preview. One preview is open at a time, so tasks stay fast.
- Click the pencil to rename it on the task, the ↗ icon to open it in Google Drive, or × to remove it from the task. Your Drive file isn't changed.
- Files shared with Anyone with the link get their real name automatically. Private files are added as “Google Doc”, “Google Sheet” and so on: click the pencil to give them a name.
- Adding or removing files shows in the task's activity, and in Slack, Teams and webhooks.
Who can see the preview
Each person sees what their own Google account can open. Adding a file to a task doesn't share it: if a teammate can't see the preview, share the file with them in Google Drive (or with your whole company).
Edits made in Google Docs, Sheets or Slides show up in the preview right away.
