Project templates
Start a project from a ready-made template, or save your own project as a template for the team.
A template creates a whole project in one step: its stages, custom fields, tasks, subtasks, labels and priorities, with due dates counted from a start date you choose.
Start a project from a template
- 1Open Browse all (the Projects page) and click Start from a template.
- 2Pick a category, or scroll through all of them. Each card shows the stages, the first few tasks and the custom fields.
- 3Click Use template, type the project name and choose the Start date.
- 4Click Create project. JinkoUp opens the new project; rename, move or delete anything you don't need.
Nobody is assigned when a project is created from a template. Assign tasks on the Table or Board view once your team is in.

Save a project as a template
- 1Open the project and click Export in the project header.
- 2Choose Save as template.
- 3Give it a name, an optional description and a category, then click Save template.
The template keeps the stages, custom fields (with their options), tasks and subtasks, labels, priorities, estimates and field values. Dates are stored relative to the project's earliest date, so they move with the start date chosen later.
Assignees, Person field values, comments, files and completion are not saved: every task in a new project starts open.
Saving and deleting templates needs the Save and delete templates permission. Admins have it; other people need a role that includes it. See Workspaces and roles.
Delete a workspace template
On the template gallery, click the trash icon on one of your workspace's templates. Projects already created from it don't change. Built-in templates can't be deleted.
