OneDrive & SharePoint
Add Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other files from OneDrive or SharePoint to tasks, with previews.
Keep the Microsoft 365 files a task needs right inside it. Works with personal OneDrive, OneDrive for work or school, and SharePoint (including files in Microsoft Teams channels, which live in SharePoint).
Add a file to a task
- 1In OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel or PowerPoint, click Share → Copy link.
- 2Open the task in JinkoUp. Under Linked files, click + and paste the link.
- 3Click Add. Word, Excel and PowerPoint files open a preview; other files and folders show as a link you can open.
If the preview doesn't show
Microsoft only shows previews to people signed in to the right Microsoft account in the same browser, and some company settings block previews in other apps. If you see a sign-in box or an empty frame:
- 1Open the file in OneDrive or SharePoint and choose Share → Embed (or File → Share → Embed in Word, Excel or PowerPoint).
- 2Click Generate if asked, and copy the embed code.
- 3In JinkoUp, remove the old link, click + and paste the embed code. JinkoUp picks out the right link for you.
Microsoft's embed code always previews for anyone who can open the file, so it's the most reliable option for files your whole team needs.
Good to know
- Sharing links don't include the file name, so files are added as “Word file”, “Excel file” and so on. Click the pencil to name them.
- Click the ↗ icon to open the file in OneDrive or SharePoint, or × to remove it from the task (the file itself isn't changed).
- Adding a file to a task doesn't share it. Make sure teammates have access in OneDrive or SharePoint.
- Adding or removing files shows in the task's activity, and in Slack, Teams and webhooks.
