Task templates
Save a task with its description, labels, fields and subtasks as a template, and create new tasks from it in one click.
For tasks you create again and again (a bug report, a new-client checklist, a release), save one as a template.
Save a task as a template
- 1Open the task and click … at the top of the task window.
- 2Choose Save as template.
- 3Name it and choose where it's available: This project or Every project in the workspace.
- 4Click Save.
The template keeps the title, description, priority, estimate, labels, custom field values and subtask titles. The due date, owner, comments and files aren't kept.
Create a task from a template
- 1In the Table, click the template icon at the end of a stage's Add task row. On the Board, click it next to Add task.
- 2Pick a template. The task is created in that stage and opens.
In another project, field values are copied into fields with the same name and type (dropdown options are matched by name). Values with no matching field are skipped.
Rename or delete templates
Open the template list and click Manage templates. You can rename or delete the templates you saved; admins and people whose role has Save and delete templates can manage all of them. Tasks already made from a template don't change.
