Free plan and limits
What the Free plan includes (up to 2 members and 5 projects), what needs a paid plan, and how admins choose what stays active.
The Free plan costs nothing and needs no card. It's made for you and one other person: up to 2 members and 5 active projects, with unlimited tasks. Paid plans add every feature and room for bigger teams, at one flat price per workspace. See the pricing page.
What Free includes
- Up to 2 members (admins and members together) and up to 5 active projects. Projects in the Trash don't count.
- 3 custom fields per project, of the types text, number, date, dropdown and checkbox.
- Views: Table, Board, Calendar and Summary.
- Tasks, subtasks, comments and mentions, attachments, labels, priorities and due dates, all without a cap on how many.
- Recurring tasks and reminders.
- Importing from Trello, Asana and CSV, and exporting your data.
- Two-factor sign-in, private projects, Google and Microsoft sign-in, and a read-only calendar feed.
- The JinkoUp mobile app.
- 1 GB of file storage for the workspace, files up to 10 MB each, and deleted items can be restored from the Trash for 7 days.
What needs a paid plan
- Timeline and dashboards.
- Saved views, row colors and bulk edit.
- Automations.
- Sharing with people outside the workspace: public links, requests for updates and intake forms.
- Power tools: Notebook, Time tracking, Workload, Scheduled reports, Invoicing and Approvals.
- Custom roles and the audit log.
- Slack, Microsoft Teams, GitHub, GitLab and Outlook calendar sync.
- Webhooks, the REST API and personal access tokens, and connected apps such as AI assistants.
- Workspace branding, saving your own templates and email to task.
- More custom fields and every field type (formula, currency, rating, person and more), more storage, files up to 25 MB and 30 days in the Trash.
Paid features show an Upgrade prompt on Free, so you can see what they do before you choose a plan.
When your trial ends
New workspaces start with a free trial of every feature. If the trial ends without a plan, the workspace moves to Free. It isn't locked and nothing is deleted: everyone keeps working.
Over the limits: read-only, never deleted
If the workspace has more than Free allows (for example 8 projects, or a project with 6 custom fields), the extra ones become read-only. You can still open and read them, but not change them. They stay exactly as they were, and an admin chooses which ones stay active.
- Fields: open a project's Fields dialog and switch Active on or off for each field. The dialog shows how many are in use, for example “3 of 3 fields active on Free”. Inactive fields keep their values but can't be edited.
- Projects: in Settings → Plan & billing, choose which projects stay active (up to 5). The others become read-only.
- Members: in Settings → Plan & billing, choose which members stay active (up to 2), or use the Active switch in Settings → Members. Inactive members can still sign in and read, but can't make changes.
Until an admin chooses, JinkoUp keeps a sensible default active, such as the most recently used projects.
While the workspace is at the member limit, new invitations are blocked. Make a member inactive or upgrade to invite someone else.
Upgrading
An admin can upgrade any time under Settings → Plan & billing. Everything becomes active again instantly: every project, field and member, with nothing to restore. See Plans, trials and billing.
The mobile app keeps working on Free, for every active member.
